Potatoes are included in a list of 230 crops that Syngenta's new Touchdown formulation can be used to control weeds.

To help growers better understand the product and how it works, Syngenta is offering a web site: www.syngenta-us.com that gives details.

The EPA recently registered the new formulation of Touchdown for use over the top of Roundup Ready corn, cotton, and soybeans. It will be used as a burndown application for control on more than 170 weeds on 230 crops.

The site also offers visitors field trial reports from university researchers. It includes comprehensive information about the new, more efficient glyphosate molecule, diammonium glyphosate (DA) and IQ technology.
