Mycogen Seeds announced today it has completed its acquisition of Cargill Hybrid Seeds from Cargill Inc.

The newly acquired assets will be integrated into the Mycogen organization, which is affiliated with Dow AgroSciences LLC, providing a larger and more efficient platform for delivering top quality seeds and biotechnology products to the market.

Mycogen acquired all seed research, production and distribution assets of Cargill Hybrid Seeds in the U.S. and Canada, except Cargill's InterMountain Canola, Goertzen Seed Research, and the Western Canadian seed distribution business.

With a growing seed portfolio of major crops, Mycogen Seeds is now the third largest producer in the U.S. seed corn market.

Mycogen Seeds is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company and an affiliate of Dow AgroSciences LLC.
