Arkoosh Produce Files For Bankruptcy

Arkoosh Produce Inc., of Gooding, ID, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. District Bankruptcy Court in Twin Falls, ID, Oct. 24.

Notice was received by the Idaho Dept. of Agriculture Oct. 25.

Dept. of Agriculture officials have contacted the state Attorney General's office. Arkoosh was licensed and bonded by the Department and had paid a $10,000 bond as all produce buyers in the state.

Some 92 creditors have been listed on the bankruptcy filing, including numerous potato growers and potato industry suppliers. Many growers had not received complete payment for potatoes delivered to the packing plant in early summer.
