Red River Valley Potato Growers have signed a contract with the "Chef to the Stars," Dennis Narlock, known as Chef NarDane, to develop signature foodservice dishes using the "Best Bred Reds."
NarDane's culinary skills have been recognized throughout the United States. He caters and designs for such stars as Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds, Henry Winkler, Shirley MacClaine, Jossette Benzet, Jose Eber, and others.
Over the next few months, the RRVPG along with NarDane will debut signature foodservice dishes featuring the red potatoes grown in the Valley. They will be made into foodservice portions. NarDane will later develop consumer recipes.
NarDane was reared on a farm in Oslo, MN, in the RRV and travels extensively between Grand Forks and Beverly Hills. He caters to over 300 events a year.
