Monsanto Company has merged with Pharmacia Upjohn, it was learned. Technically, at this time, Monsanto does not exist.
Monsanto, however, is still operating its ag products under the umbrella of Monsanto with the anticipation that Pharmacia will offer its ag businesses as an independent company, perhaps as early as this year.
The new company would be called Monsanto and have its own stock, board, etc.
