In an announcement made Nov. 3, Auxien Corporation of Lansing, MI, announced it has reached an agreement with Griffin LLC of Valdosta, GA, to develop and market ag crop disease-control products.

The products will combine Griffin's conventional crop protectants with Auxein's AuxiGro plant metabolic primer.

The companies believe the combination will offer enhanced control of plant diseases. Several combination products are currently under going field trials.

The companies will collaborate on the development, testing and registration of the combination products. Griffin will market the products through its existing field sales force.

Trials have shown that AuxiGro boosts a plant's resistance to fungal diseases. The goal of the Auxein/Griffin collaboration is to develop and market AuxiGro/contact fungicide combination products that control plant diseases more effectively than either product alone.
